Pre-Flood Earth: how it lay

How did the earth change with the Global Flood? Obviously the Flood itself left many layers of sediment. These persist as the “geological column.” But the earth also rolled on its axis a few centuries after the Flood. That roll explains much about the kinds of fossils we see at certain latitudes. It also gives rise to new insights in the debate on global warming: whether it is happening, how fast, and whether it has happened before. Continue reading

Creator of space and time

As people of faith reflect on the miracle of the Christ child and His resurrection, ask churches can expect unusually high attendance on Christmas and Easter. However, there are an increasing number of those that believe science has disproved the existence of God, particularly as Creator. They therefore believe those that rely on His precepts and principles are intellectually deficient. Since the increase of this atheistic belief system is directly proportional to the decrease in the quality of life we enjoy here in America, the scientific argument regarding the existence of God is as important a cultural issue as it is a faith issue. Glen Kuban wrong on Walt Brown

Glen J. Kuban, almost twenty years ago, took exception to the finding of human and dinosaur tracks, side by side, near the Paluxy River. He has tried several times in those almost twenty years to cast doubt on that claim. Six years ago he found a new target: Walter T. Brown, author of the Hydroplate Theory of the Global Flood. (See In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood, in hardcover and online here.) He published a rebuttal to the theory, and last edited this two days ago (1 September 2015). But his revisions won’t help him. He might have read the book. But he never once examines critically the conventional theories of the origins and history of the earth. And so he falls into a common logical trap. And he never escapes it. Continue reading

Carbon monoxide on Pluto

The rocket probe New Horizons sent back more pictures from the Pluto system. On Friday (17 July 2015) NASA released some of them. Among them: a frozen lake of carbon monoxide. This lake covers most of the western lobe of Tombaugh Regio (the “heart” on Pluto). Continue reading

Pluto: accidental creation

In about two and one-half days (14 July 2015, viagra 11:50 UTC), a ship named New Horizons will pass close to the dwarf planet Pluto. It has approached Pluto for six months, after a voyage of nine and a half years. And already it has found, or confirmed, evidence of the true nature, and origin, of Pluto. We must regard Pluto as a recent creation. And an accidental one. A product of the most violent event the earth has ever known, the one event worthy of the name cataclysm. Continue reading

Counterpoint to evolution: the Big Bang

This final article in the Counterpoint series will deviate from presenting arguments against what has been published in Pearson/Hall’s Biology textbook and will instead present a few very basic arguments that support the biblical creation account. Before proceeding, site it is responsible to state that the counterpoint arguments against what is presented in the textbooks are not represented as being comprehensive. In order to achieve that nearly unachievable goal would require a substantial format capable of expanding ad infinitum, since new evolutionary arguments that are not bound by logic are being invented at an inconceivable rate. It is also necessary to state that the Precambrian explosion of life, as well as the RATE project that were discussed in previous parts of this series, as well as many others (such as thermodynamics) not discussed also provide strong support for the creation argument. Science and Torah in parallel

Astronomers and astrophysicists are revealing, order with increasing frequency, viagra the compatibility of the Torah with the most recent discoveries in science.  A recent scientific article in one of the foremost international journals of physics bears the title, “Creation of the Universe from Nothing”: Continue reading

Origins: to be or not to be

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21:33

The theory of the Big Bang seemed to win majority acceptance upon its origination. But the more scientific evidence frowned upon the hypothesis, the more scientists began to realize chemical evolution and cosmic evolution were very very difficult to explain with this theory. Continue reading

Counterpoint to evolution, part 5

This commentary on the Biology textbook published by Pearson/Prentice Hall and written by Miller and Levine will continue with an analysis of the “evidences” for evolution that the book presents. The key counterpoint: the “evidences” consist of rock formations and fossils. And these are much younger than supposed. Continue reading

Enceladus confounds experts

Enceladus, recipe ninth moon of Saturn, ailment confounded planetary scientists when Voyager 2 reconnoitered it in 1981. Every rocket-probe reconnaissance of Enceladus confounds them more. If this and all other objects that large or larger in our solar system are billions of years old, pill why does Enceladus look and act so young? Conventional creation scientists and advocates assume it is as young as the earth – 6,019 years by the Ussher reckoning. In fact Enceladus is even younger – 5,300 years young, give or take a hundred years. Continue reading
