Evolution doesn’t make you smart

So Rafi Letzter, writing in Business Insider, wonders “why so many smart people don’t believe in evolution.” He rightly questions a study suggesting if you’re smart, you should believe in evolution. But he then fails to follow through with what his own analysis suggests. Continue reading

Counterpoint to evolution, part 6

As this series is nearing a conclusion, I would be remiss if I didn’t include the “support for evolution” that our children are led to believe is scientifically credible. This article will not continue with counterpoints for the popular Biology textbook published by Pearson/Prentice Hall, but will present counterpoint arguments for the ancillary information our students are directed to on the internet and outside of the textbook. The future and final part of this series will then deal with the most significant proofs for the biblical account of creation. Whether it be the so-called proofs for evolution or the counterpoint proofs for the biblical account, please be aware that only a selected few that are representative of the rest will be discussed, and to respect this format, I will do my best to keep the narrative brief. Counterpoint to evolution, part 5

This commentary on the Biology textbook published by Pearson/Prentice Hall and written by Miller and Levine will continue with an analysis of the “evidences” for evolution that the book presents. The key counterpoint: the “evidences” consist of rock formations and fossils. And these are much younger than supposed. Continue reading

Counterpoint to evolution, part 3

As discussed in Parts 1 and 2 of this series, I will be reviewing the most popular biology textbook in America, Pearson/Prentice Hall, 2006, Biology, written by Kenneth R. Miller and Joseph S. Levine. I am doing so to offer a “counterpoint” to their interpretation of origins, which has been cleverly designed by the authors to mislead students through psychological manipulations, tortured interpretations of the facts, and downright lies. It is my hope that this work will serve as an instrument for parents and church leaders in defending the biblical account of origins that is being assaulted in academia and used as a tool to tear down the students’ trust in the Word of God – and subsequently to challenge their faith in the existence of God Himself. Counterpoint to evolution, part 2

As discussed in store part 1″ href=”http://creationsciencehalloffame.org/2015/04/15/creation-2/debate/textbooks/counterpoint-to-evolution-part-1/” target=”_blank”>Part 1 of this series, drug it has become my mission to present a counterpoint to what is being taught in high school biology classes in a manner designed to challenge the faith of students. In an effort to accomplish this mission, I will be reviewing the most popular biology book in America, Pearson/Prentice Hall, 2006, Biology, written by Kenneth R. Miller and Joseph S. Levine. Counterpoint to evolution, part 1

After agonizing over the condition of America today, thumb I have realized that many of our problems are attributable to an increasingly godless culture rooted in the teachings of evolution. It is illogical to expect our children to live by God’s moral codes established in Genesis, or that our rights come from God, when they are taught that His creation account is nothing more than a myth. It is also disturbing that the “evidences” for evolution were founded upon fallacious interpretations of observable data and the successful censoring of opposing points of view. Continue reading

Origin of universe and life

One can speculate without end about the origin of the universe, no rx the earth, rx and life. That is all evolutionary astronomers and biologists do. Any model of the origin of these things, must explain what they are like today. No one can do this, who rejects the one Historical Record we have from the earliest times. The Hebrew Bible holds that record. Continue reading

Real vs Pseudo-Science on Display

The debate on February 4 between Bill Nye, “the Science Guy” and Ken Ham, founder of Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum was very telling on a number of levels.  On display were two very different world views.  One acknowledges God as Creator and Sustainer of the universe.  The other elevates human knowledge and theory to deity status. Continue reading
